Life-Skills Empowerment Group

Founded in 2019, Life-Skills Empowerment Group is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that aims to fill a specific need for American teenagers and provide them with the opportunity to learn basic life-skills in a structured and comfortable environment.

Our Mission

To empower the students we reach with confidence in their abilities to cope, and contribute to the households and communities in which they live.

Our Vision

We see a world where students and adolescents grow up with a foundation in critical life and healthy wellness skills. LEG alumni are better prepared to become responsible adults.

Our Educators

Shawn Einck

Founder and CEO of LEG, Shawn is a business owner, certified CPR instructor and Non Violent Crisis Intervention instructor who worked with animals, including as a care giver with the Gorilla Foundation, before tending to the needs of teenagers.

Board of Directors

Vinnie Campasano - Chairman

Vinnie has over 25 years of experience in business, including owning a health care center in San Francisco. He possesses the business acumen to improve efficiencies in a wide variety of business management, operations and development.

Diane Covington - Director

Diane obtained degrees in Business and Marketing and has been self-employed for over 25 years. She looks forward to sharing tips to create a successful living space and routine with others.  

Jamie Nunez - Director

For over 18 years, Jamie has redefined education practices by designing creative opportunities for educators to connect with their students. As a former high school educator, administrator, and after-school director, Jamie has trained thousands of educators on student engagement in digital spaces.  Jamie is currently the Regional Manager for Common Sense and supports school districts across the western united states in addressing digital wellness.
When not working, Jamie can be found in the ocean teaching his 6-year-old daughter how to surf.

Anna Ramos - Director

Anna is an East Bay Area native who grew up going to school within Mt. Diablo Unified School District. Anna received her Bachelors from California State University Stanislaus in 2016. In the fall of 2016, Anna began working part-time for MDUSD and in 2017 began working for MDUSD full time. Currently, Anna is a Work Based Learning Coordinator and Case Manager working one on one with young people in Central Contra Costa County. Anna has dedicated herself to helping her community and giving back to the programs and systems that helped her journey. As a member of the LEG Board of Directors, she hopes to continue making a difference and creating programming that will help future generations. 

Taevi Wilson - Director

Taevi is a Special Events Coordinator passionate about eliminating hunger in Contra Costa and Solano County through finding creative ways to raise funds and awareness within the supporters of her community. She is responsible for special event planning and execution, including project management, budgets, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with supporters. When she isn’t working, you’ll find Taevi investing her time in her online tea shop she is launching with her mum, spending time with her nephew, and learning how to grow financially.
